How you know it’s this part
Engine-drive pumps tell you plainly: a drip from the weep hole between engine and pump body after every run. Catch it early — run dry with a leaking seal and the next part on the list is the impeller. Pre-season is the right time to do this one.
Fitting
Remove the pump end from the engine flange, swap both halves, reassemble. 30–40 minutes with basic tools. Step-by-step here.
