Buy from a seller who lists the full rating on every part: µF, voltage, body code and terminal type, so you can match it to the label on your old capacitor. We stock CBB60 motor-run capacitors from 4µF to 80µF at 450V, in lug, flying-lead and core-lead terminals, and CD60 motor-start capacitors from 50µF to 500µF at 250V. Tracked NZ delivery. How do you avoid buying the wrong capacitor?

Copy the label, not the brand. Match the µF on the label; within ±5% is fine. Use the same or a higher voltage (450V safely replaces 400V or 440V). Match the duty: run capacitors (CBB60, CBB65) and start capacitors (CD60) are never interchangeable. Then match the terminals so the new part connects without splicing. Not sure what you've got?
