Who we are
CapacitorsNZ is operated as a sole trader / small business in New Zealand. By placing an order you enter a contract for sale of goods with us under New Zealand law.
Pricing
- All prices are in NZD.
- All prices include GST at the current rate (15%).
- Prices are subject to change. The price at the time of order is the price you pay.
Product information
We make every effort to describe each capacitor accurately — µF, voltage, body code, terminal type, and physical dimensions are authoritative. Photos at launch are designed placeholders, not real product photography; the spec is what matters.
Orders
Orders are accepted at our discretion. We reserve the right to cancel an order and refund in full if a product is out of stock at the supplier, if there's an obvious pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. We'll email you if this happens.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe at checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure form — we never see them. Your order is confirmed once Stripe reports a successful charge.
Delivery
See Shipping & delivery. Orders are tracked via NZ Post or courier and reach most NZ addresses in around 2 weeks.
Returns and guarantees
See Returns & guarantees. 90-day DOA replacement plus your statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Limitation of liability
Where the law permits, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the product. We're not liable for incidental or consequential losses (e.g. an appliance damaged because the wrong capacitor was fitted). Always confirm fitment before installing — if in doubt, use the wizard or email us.
Disputes
We'd much rather sort an issue informally — email is the fastest path. If we can't agree, New Zealand law applies and disputes are heard in the Auckland District Court.
