Davey Celsior C400 Capacitor
The Davey Celsior C400 is a single-phase spa bath pump commonly found in pool & spa pumps setups. Its motor runs on a 25µF 450V motor-run capacitor in a CBB60-style can: here's the exact replacement and how to confirm it.

The Davey Celsior C400 spa bath pump uses a 25µF 450V motor-run capacitor (CBB60-style): it's the part that helps the single-phase motor start and keep running smoothly. We source this value from manufacturer / supplier documentation. Match the replacement to 25µF (about 22.5-27.5µF) at 450V or higher; the checklist below covers how to confirm it against your own capacitor.
How to be sure you get the right one
- µF must match: the Celsior C400 needs 25µF (about 22.5-27.5µF), within ±5% of the label. Too low and the motor won't start; too high and it runs hot.
- Voltage can go up, never down: a 450V (or higher) cap is correct here; a 450V part safely replaces a 370V or 440V one. Don't fit below 450V.
- Check the terminal + size: make sure the new cap physically fits the housing and the connections match (or use a spade adapter).
- When in doubt, read your old cap: the printed µF and voltage on the part you're replacing is the final word.
Common questions - Davey Celsior C400 capacitor
What capacitor does the Davey Celsior C400 use?
A 25µF 450V motor-run capacitor (CBB60-style). Always confirm against the rating printed on your existing capacitor before ordering.
Can I fit a higher-voltage capacitor in the Davey Celsior C400?
Yes, voltage can be equal or higher, never lower. A capacitor rated 450V or above is fine (450V is the usual choice), as long as the µF still matches (25µF).
