The Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 pool pump takes a mechanical seal for a 3/4″ shaft with carbon / ceramic faces. Onga’s seal number for this model is 700270, and the same seal is also referenced as Astral 75508. This replacement suits both references; measure your shaft and compare the old seal before fitting.
How to tell you have an Onga Leisuretime LTP1100
Look for the motor or pump label. The model code may be shown as LTP1100 or written with a space as LTP 1100, and the pump is a single-phase pool pump. If the label is faded or missing, the seal itself is the better guide: this one is a two-piece seal for a 3/4″ shaft with carbon / ceramic faces, made up of a spring-loaded rotating face that turns with the shaft and a stationary seat that sits in the pump housing.
Signs the Leisuretime LTP1100 seal has failed
Change the seal as soon as a leak shows up. Water that gets past a worn seal tends to run along the shaft into the front motor bearing, which turns a seal job into a motor job.
- Drips or a steady weep from the gap between the pump housing and the motor.
- Rust stains or white mineral crust below the motor end.
- The pump struggling to hold prime, or air bubbles in the strainer basket that were not there before.
Pumps that use the same seal as the LTP1100
The seal for the LTP1100 is shared with a long list of other pumps. Models with their own listing: AstralPool CTX, AstralPool CX180, AstralPool CX240, AstralPool CX280, Filtermaster SB20, Filtermaster SB30, Onga Pantera PPP750, Onga Pantera PPP1100 and Onga Pantera PPP1500.
It also suits pumps such as the Onga 600/900 Series, Onga BR466, Poolrite Enduro, Poolrite Quietline, Poolquip Hustler and Waterco Charger. The same seal is sold on its own as our 3/4″ pool pump seal.
Fitting a new seal to the LTP1100
Fit both halves of the new seal and do not reuse the old seat. Clean the seat recess, press the stationary seat in squarely with the polished face outwards, and keep both faces free of grease and fingerprints. A smear of soapy water helps the rubber parts slide on without tearing.
If the motor also sounds rough, the LTP1100 service kit pairs this seal with new motor bearings. For a motor that hums but will not start, see the LTP1100 capacitor guide, and parts for other Onga pumps are listed under Onga service kits.
Before you order
Check the old part before fitting: match the size of your old seal.
