Fits the Onga Pantera PPP550
A replacement mechanical (shaft) seal for the Onga Pantera PPP550 pool pump (0.55 kW motor). This seal suits a 3/4″ shaft, carbon / ceramic faces. It is the two-part seal that sits behind the impeller: a spring-loaded rotating face on the shaft and a stationary seat pressed into the pump body.
Signs the Pantera PPP550 seal has failed
- water weeping from the gap between the pump body and the motor
- a rust or mineral trail running down under the motor
- the pump losing prime or drawing air at the motor end
Replace the seal as soon as it starts leaking: water tracking along the shaft into the motor is a common way pump motors lose their bearings.
The same seal is used in the AstralPool CTX, AstralPool CX180, AstralPool CX240, AstralPool CX280, Filtermaster SB20, Filtermaster SB30, Onga Leisuretime LTP1100, Onga Pantera PPP750, Onga Pantera PPP1100, Onga Pantera PPP1500.
Before you order
Check the old part before fitting: match the size of your old seal.
Measure the shaft where the seal sits and compare the old seal face-to-face with the photos.
