Our DAB Jet 200 listing uses a 30 µF (30 uF / 30 MFD) run capacitor with a 450 VAC rating, in a CBB60 motor-run body with core leads. A motor-run capacitor stays connected the whole time the motor runs, not just at start-up. Before ordering, read the µF printed on your old capacitor: if it shows 30 µF this is the match, and if it shows another value, order that value instead.
Choosing the right capacitor for the DAB Jet 200
The number that matters is the capacitance, printed on the side of the old can as µF, uF or MFD. A replacement should match it within about 5%, and its voltage must be at least as high as the old one. This part is 30 µF at 450 VAC, which covers the usual 230 V household supply with a margin.
Pumps can be rebuilt or rewound over the years, so the old capacitor is a better guide than the model name alone. If yours is unreadable, send us a photo of the pump label and we can help. The same part is also sold on its own as a CBB60 30 µF 450 VAC capacitor.
Signs the Jet 200 capacitor is weak
Run capacitors lose capacity with age and heat, and a weak one is a common reason a pump stops starting even though the motor is fine.
- the motor hums but doesn’t turn, or only starts after the shaft is flicked by hand
- the breaker or motor overload trips soon after start-up
- the motor runs slow and hot
- the old capacitor is swollen, cracked or leaking
Other pumps listed with a 30 µF capacitor
The same 30 µF rating appears on our listings for the DAB DP151, DAB Jet 151, DAB K30/100, DAB K45/50 and Filtermaster SB20. Wiring is simple with core leads, but switch off and isolate the power first, and discharge the old capacitor before touching its terminals. If the seal is also leaking, the DAB Jet 200 service kit covers both parts, and other DAB models are under DAB service kits.
Before you order
Check the old part before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor.
