The Pedrollo PKM60 service kit contains two parts to suit this single-phase peripheral pump: a mechanical seal for a 12 mm shaft with carbon / ceramic faces, and a 10 µF (10 uF / 10 MFD) 450 VAC CBB60 run capacitor with lug (spade) terminals. There are no bearings in it, and it costs less than buying the two parts separately. Check the µF printed on your old capacitor reads 10 before ordering.
What’s in the Pedrollo PKM60 service kit
Two parts for the PKM60, packed together. There are no bearings in this kit. Both parts are also sold individually if you only need one.
- Mechanical seal to suit a 12 mm shaft, carbon / ceramic faces.
- Run capacitor, 10 µF, 450 VAC, CBB60 motor-run body with lug (spade) terminals.
Why service the PKM60 seal and capacitor together
Getting at the seal on a peripheral pump means turning the power off at the switchboard, draining the pump, separating the pump body from the motor and pulling the impeller off the shaft. With the pump already apart and isolated, changing the run capacitor is a short extra step, and the pump goes back into service with both wear parts renewed.
The two parts wear for different reasons. A tired seal lets water creep along the shaft towards the motor bearings, and a weak run capacitor leaves the motor struggling to start and running hotter than it should. Replacing both while the pump is already isolated saves coming back for a second job later.
Check your Pedrollo PKM60 and the old parts first
Confirm PKM60 on the pump’s rating plate, then check both old parts. Measure the shaft where the old seal sat; it should be 12 mm. Read the value printed on the side of the old capacitor as µF, uF or MFD. The kit capacitor is 10 µF, so if yours shows a different number, contact us before you order rather than fitting a mismatched value. The Pedrollo PKM capacitor guide covers the wider PKM range, unused parts can go back under our returns policy, and kits for other models are under Pedrollo service kits.
Before you order
Check the old parts before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor and the size of your old seal.
