How to identify your bearings
- Unplug the pump or isolate it at the breaker, then take the motor apart far enough to see both bearings. Discharge the run capacitor first.
- Read the number stamped on the face of each bearing, such as 6202.
- Match the kit. A 6202 is 15 × 35 × 11 mm, a 6203 is 17 × 40 × 12 mm and a 6204 is 20 × 47 × 14 mm (bore × outside diameter × width).
- Check the seal too. If the shaft feels rough or the motor grinds, a leaking seal is the usual way water reaches the bearings.
