The service kit to suit the DAB Aquajet 112M has two parts: a mechanical seal for a 13 mm shaft with carbon / ceramic faces that replaces DAB 61M/16, and a 25 µF (25 uF / 25 MFD) 450 VAC CBB60 run capacitor with core leads. It covers the seal, the part that wears, and the motor’s run capacitor in one job, and costs less than buying the two separately. Check your old capacitor reads 25 µF before ordering.
What’s in the DAB Aquajet 112M service kit
Both parts are CapacitorsNZ aftermarket replacements, and each is also sold on its own if you only need one of them.
- Mechanical seal to suit the Aquajet 112M: 13 mm shaft, carbon / ceramic faces, replaces DAB 61M/16.
- 25 µF run capacitor to suit the Aquajet 112M: 450 VAC, CBB60 motor-run body, core leads.
- No bearing set is listed for this model, so the kit is seal and capacitor only.
Why service the Aquajet 112M seal and capacitor together
On a jet pressure pump the shaft seal is the part that wears. Once it starts to weep, water can track along the shaft towards the motor, so it pays to change it at the first sign of a drip rather than waiting.
The run capacitor stays in circuit the whole time a single-phase motor is running, and it slowly loses capacity with heat and age. If you already have the pump off its base to do the seal, fitting a fresh capacitor at the same time is a quick extra step and rules out one common cause of a hard-starting or hot-running motor. Doing both in one visit means one shutdown of your water supply instead of two.
Checking your Aquajet 112M before you order
Check the old parts before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor and the size of your old seal. The pump label may read Aquajet 112M or Aquajet 112. If your old capacitor shows a value other than 25 µF, buy that value instead and order the seal separately. Our DAB Aquajet 112M capacitor guide has more detail. Not sure? Send us a photo of the pump label and old parts. Kits for other DAB models are listed on our DAB service kits page.
