The service kit to suit the Onga Pantera PPP1100 pool pump holds three CapacitorsNZ parts: a mechanical seal for a 3/4″ shaft with carbon / ceramic faces (replaces Onga 700270), a 25 µF (25 uF / 25 MFD) 450 VAC CBB60 run capacitor with core leads, and a matched pair of sealed motor bearings for the drive end and fan end. Check your old seal and capacitor before fitting.
What’s in the Onga Pantera PPP1100 service kit
To confirm the kit suits your pump, look for PPP1100 or Pantera 1100 on the model label. Every part in this kit is also sold on its own, so if you only need one item you can order it from its own page. The seal is also sold without a model name as our 3/4″ pool pump seal.
- Mechanical seal: 3/4″ shaft, carbon / ceramic faces, replaces Onga 700270 and Astral 75508.
- Run capacitor: 25 µF, 450 VAC, CBB60 motor-run body with core leads.
- Bearing set: a matched pair of sealed ball bearings, drive end and fan end.
Why service the seal, capacitor and bearings in one job
On a pool pump the shaft seal is usually the first part to wear. Once it starts to weep, water can creep along the shaft towards the motor, and the bearings are usually the next thing to suffer. To change the seal you already have the motor separated from the wet end of the pump, so the bearings are as easy to reach as they will ever be.
The run capacitor is a quick swap while the pump is apart. A tired capacitor is a common reason a motor is slow to start, hums or runs hot, so replacing it at the same time rules it out. Doing all three together means the pump only has to come apart once.
Checking your Pantera PPP1100 parts before fitting
Read the value printed on the side of your old capacitor (shown as µF, uF or MFD). The kit capacitor is 25 µF; if yours shows a different value, get in touch before ordering. Measure the shaft where the old seal sat to confirm it is 3/4″. Unused parts can go back under our returns policy, and the Onga Pantera PPP1100 capacitor guide covers the capacitor side in more detail.
The Onga Pantera PPP1500 service kit is listed with the same seal, the same 25 µF capacitor rating and the same bearing set. Kits for other Onga pumps are on our Onga service kits page.
Before you order
Check the old parts before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor and the size of your old seal.
