About this part

The service kit to suit the Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 pool pump contains two parts: a mechanical seal for a 3/4″ shaft with carbon / ceramic faces (replaces Onga 700270 and Astral 75508) and a matched pair of sealed ball bearings for the motor’s drive end and fan end. It lets you renew the seal and both motor bearings in one strip-down, for less than buying the two parts separately.

What’s in the Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 service kit

Two parts, both chosen for the LTP1100. Each one is also sold on its own if you only need to replace one of them.

  • Mechanical seal to suit a 3/4″ shaft, carbon / ceramic faces, replaces Onga 700270 and Astral 75508. The same seal is also sold as our 3/4″ pool pump seal.
  • Motor bearing set: a matched pair of sealed ball bearings, one for the drive end and one for the fan end.

Why change the LTP1100 seal and bearings in one job

On most pool pumps the shaft seal is the first part to wear. Once it starts to weep, water can run along the shaft towards the front motor bearing, and a bearing that has had water through it usually gets noisy soon after. That is why a seal leak and a growling motor so often turn up together.

Changing the seal already means taking the motor off the wet end and the impeller off the shaft, which is most of the way to the bearings. Doing both while everything is apart saves a second job later and means the pump goes back together with a new seal and new bearings.

Checks before ordering the LTP1100 kit

Check the pump label reads LTP1100 or LTP 1100. When the pump is apart, measure the shaft where the old seal sat and compare the old seal and bearings with the new parts before fitting anything. This kit has no capacitor in it; if the motor hums but will not start, see the Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 capacitor guide. Kits for other Onga pumps are listed under Onga service kits, and unused parts can be sent back under our returns policy.

Before you order

Check the old parts before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor and the size of your old seal.

Questions

What service kit fits an Onga Leisuretime LTP1100?

The service kit to suit the Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 has a 3/4″ carbon / ceramic mechanical seal that replaces Onga 700270, plus a drive-end and fan-end motor bearing pair.

Does the Leisuretime LTP1100 kit include a capacitor?

No. The LTP1100 kit contains the mechanical seal and the motor bearing set only. Capacitor details for this pump are on the LTP1100 capacitor guide.

Can I buy the LTP1100 seal or bearings on their own?

Yes. The LTP1100 mechanical seal and the LTP1100 bearing set are each sold separately, but the kit costs less than buying both.

Do I need to change the bearings when I replace the Leisuretime LTP1100 seal?

Not always. If the LTP1100 motor is noisy, the bearings are likely worn, and if the seal has been leaking for a while, water may have reached them. Changing them while the pump is apart saves a second strip-down.

Is the Leisuretime LTP1100 service kit made by Onga?

No. The kit for the Onga Leisuretime LTP1100 is an aftermarket CapacitorsNZ kit, built to suit the pump and to replace Onga 700270 for the seal. Onga does not make or endorse it.

What if it doesn't fit?
