The service kit to suit the DAB Jetinox 110M has three parts: a carbon / ceramic mechanical seal for the 13 mm shaft that replaces DAB 61M/16, a 16 µF (16 uF / 16 MFD) 450 VAC CBB60 run capacitor with core leads, and a matched pair of sealed ball bearings for the drive end and fan end of the motor. Check your old seal and the µF on your old capacitor before ordering.
What’s in the DAB Jetinox 110M service kit
Each of the three parts is also sold individually through the links below, so if only the seal is weeping you can buy just that. The kit costs less than buying all three separately. The seal also has a general listing as our 13 mm jet pump seal.
- Mechanical seal: 13 mm shaft, carbon / ceramic faces, replaces DAB 61M/16.
- Run capacitor: 16 µF, 450 VAC, CBB60 body with core leads.
- Bearing set: a matched pair of sealed ball bearings, drive end and fan end.
Why service the Jetinox 110M in one go
Changing a mechanical seal means separating the motor from the pump casing and taking the impeller off the shaft. With the motor already out, the bearings are exposed and it takes little extra effort to press on a fresh pair. Doing everything at once saves stripping the pump down a second time.
Seal and bearing wear are often linked. A seal that has leaked for a while can let water track along the shaft into the motor, and bearings that have taken on water tend to go noisy soon after. Fitting a new seal on top of tired bearings can see a repaired pump back on the bench before long.
The capacitor is the quickest job in the kit. Run capacitors lose capacitance with age and heat, and a weak one leaves the motor slow to start and running hot. Swapping it while the pump is apart takes a couple of minutes.
Checks before you strip the Jetinox 110M
Switch off and unplug the pump, open a tap to release the pressure, and drain the casing. Take a photo of the capacitor wiring before you disconnect anything. Read the µF value printed on the old capacitor and confirm it says 16 µF; if it shows something else, get in touch before fitting. Measure the shaft where the seal sits to confirm it is 13 mm.
If you are unsure about anything, contact us with a photo of the pump label and your old parts. Kits for other DAB pumps are on our DAB service kits page.
Before you order
Check the old parts before fitting: match the µF printed on your old capacitor and the size of your old seal.
